Gary and Paula have been taking care of my 1979 Porsche 911 SC ever since I moved to SF 8 years ago. I don't know what I would do without them and hope that they never retire! They work on my car as if it were theirs; recommending the appropriate service and sourcing parts when needed, always being mindful of my budget and priority list. We have been using Vanguard Motors for more than 10 years. We were referred by Alan at The Stable where our Porsche was being serviced. Gary and Paula are involved, caring and honest owners who strive to provide excellent service. They are not cheap, rather they charge comparably to the Dealerships. The big difference is they are honest. They do not make repairs until they are necessary. On my first visit, the dealer who had been doing my service old t I needed six different repairs which would cost around $8,000 (or more). I went to Vanguard for a second opinion. One of the repairs was in fact necessary, and was completed for about $1,400. The other five items have still not been done ten years later. We now have both cars serviced at Vanguard, and always trust they will be done correctly and honestly. We recommend them without reservation.
